A few pictures of my work room

My bears are designed and created by myself from start to finish, from mohair or Alpaca and for the miniature bears long pile miniature bear fur, I create bears from 3 inches up to 15 inches high, they are fully jointed with cotter pins or nut and bolts and weighted according to their size with a mixture of polyester/cotton and steel shot (enclosed in a little bag).  All bears are created with the adult collector in mind and because of the traditional components used are unsuitable for children, unless bought as an heirloom keepsake and kept safe, out of reach.

I like to design and make clothes for my bears.  They may be knitted, crochet or sewed by machine using top quality yarns and fabrics, I often have more than I can use for my bears and offer some for sale on my website or take along to fairs, so do keep an eye on my “clothes” page as there are always some nice pieces available.

About Me

My name is Pauline Wood and have been designing and making artist bears for 9 years now and have been honoured to have won British Bear Artist Awards and have been featured with the bears in various  Teddy Bear magazines.

I am married to Alan and we have a grown up daughter Charlotte who works as a Dance Teacher after a career in show business as a professional singer and dancer.

We have recently moved house to Suffolk and live just 10 minutes from the seaside, its a big change for us after living in Yorkshire all our lives and have spent the summer exploring the area and a lot of house renovation and working in the garden.  I have a nice little studio over looking the garden where I create the bears.
